Five Sentence Fiction: Memories

This post is linked to : Lillie McFerrin Writes- Five Sentence Fiction- Memories

I paced forward with all my strength and ran as fast as I could. But I couldn't have possibly saved my ass, the giant snowball slid down the slope at thrice my speed, engulfing all smaller objects along it's way- including me.

"Aaagh", I screamed and woke up from my sleep, twenty years fast-forward, with my lower body paralyzed and an upper body that was accustomed to stillness.

"Daddy, what does Grandpa dream about every other night, that he gets so scared?", Rishabh, always inquisitive about his mountaineer grandfather, asked my son.

"He doesn't dream, Rishabh. Memories. Those are his memories that haunt him."
