That kind of love

Hola everybody! I missed two weeks of friday fictioneers, and missed it I did. Anyhow, I'm back for this week's photo prompt and hopefully here to stay.

This week's beautiful photo is by Kelly Sands, only adding another photo to my collection of sky-photos from around the world! Thank you Kelly, as to you too Rochelle. And a special Thank-you to Kent!

I felt the texture of the cotton sheets beneath me, which I had clutched on to tightly. While excruciating pain passed from under my delicate skin, I felt an aching satisfaction. Words could not describe how elated I felt in his presence.

Now the silence inside the room pierced through me. The turmoil outside reflected the uproar of emotions in me.

"It was a mistake. I'm sorry" he said.

Still naked, I gazed into the vastness outside my window and felt myself fading away. He had made a mistake, I had found love.

Saturday Photohunt

What better theme for Saturday photo-hunt than "skies"?!

I want to say so much about my love for skies, clouds, the vastness but I'm going to shut up and just post two photos that I took last evening. One while I was on my way to home. The other taken when I was home, from my window.

PS- Both are taken from my mobile, I'm sorry for that. Did not have a camera around. The quality is still not THAT bad. Have a look.

Skywatching attraction

You all know how much I love the sky- the clouds, the stretch, the soothing blue color! No? Well now you do. I develop a certain affinity to a place which has a clear, gorgeous view of the sky and I swear I do not know when my hand slides into my pocket/bag and pulls out the capturing instrument.

I have a photo of the sky from wherever I've been on vacations. I must mention here that I plan to travel each and every nook of the world. So this way, when I die and if somebody cares, they could compile all my sky photos and almost have in front of them an image of the entire sky that surrounds the earth.  How cool is that?

How then could I stop myself from posting a Skywatch Friday and a Photo-hunt Saturday prompt, though it now is a Sunday?

Anyway, here it is.

That's the sky 7kms from where I live, in Vadodara.

This one is taken from my phone, while travelling on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway.

This one is from Diu, one fine summer morning.

The next is the sky on the Mumbai-Pune highway. I was on my way to Mahabaleshwar.

There are many many more I want to add here, but I'm sure that's not what the prompt setters expected me to do. The theme for PhotoHunt Saturday was Azure.

The sky is something that amazes me everytime I look up. I literally mean EVERYTIME.

If you have any photos of the sky from your land, do let me know through the comments section below. I'd love to see the pictures!

A writer's plight

This is a post linking to Rochelle's 100 words photo prompt. As a part of Friday Fictioners, I had to write a post related, however loosely, to this photo. Read on :)

Her mind exploded, the cool wind caressing her hair. She held her face in her palms, resting them on her knees. The pages of her book fluttered one after the other, all unveiling her vacuousness. Poorva, the protagonist in her book was dying and she had no way to save her.

She sat there wondering. She should not have let a character she made up come so close to her heart to let her fill up all her voids. Lighting a match stick to a gasper, she inhaled. The shag hit her hard.

Looking down at the xyst she felt herself sinking. Deeper. Deeper. Until she reached the paramount. It was now time to open her fists.

She collected all her senses and looked up only to see the entire town spread below her. The blank pages started to be filled with scribbles.

Those first few drops

My 3rd floor bedroom window can prove to be a boon sometimes, which I normally take to be a disadvantage, it opening directly to the roadway. But sitting there, while the first rains of the year broke down relieving us of the roasting heat, I saw life coming alive. While it did not rain heavily the first day, it was more than mere drizzling. I coupled by coffee with a few 'hide n seek's and sat at the window, trying to feel the cool breeze.
