M to D - Be a little less exhausted and live a little more

"Mom?", I peeped in through the half closed door. Seeing her room lit up at this hour of the night, I thought I'd check in on her.

"Hi baby. Umm, wait there. Hold on I'll come out." she replied, but it was already too late. I entered and saw her trying to make her way from under a heap of clothes. She was sitting on a small stool in front of her wardrobe and nearly half of her sarees and her kurtas and her patiyalas were out of the cupboard, either on her head, some on her shoulder, some in her lap and others scattered around on the floor and the bed. I could see a certain pattern in the scatteredness of the clothes.

The Map

Writing for the Five Sentence Fiction prompt- MAPS

I thought I knew what 'complete' felt like when he found the map to me, making me smile and laugh and cry and grow under the bubble that covered us.

Now thousand miles apart, spaces have grown in our togetherness.
But mourn not for us, for we found happiness in the drops of the sea between the shores of our souls.

Last night, he visited, finally holding the map to my body. I think I now know what 'complete' feels like.

The Quintet of Radiance Award

The sweetheart that Reema D'souza is, she decided to list my blog among the receivers of Quintet of Radiance Award! And so Shall We Call It a Tale landed up receiving another award. This one is a bag of five awards puffed into one! Quintuple happiness.
Reema and I got in touch recently and I've been following her blog since then. She has amazing creativity in her head which flows as smoothly in her writings. I've met only a few bloggers nearly my age, she's one and I'm glad! Visit her at Reem Writes.

A wonted symbiotic relation

He lost his parents before he could retain any memory and created a void in his heart which he filled with anger against the world.

Being punished by his teacher that day, for he wasn't able to identify alphabets, he banged the door open and started throwing the neat bolster into disarray.

Those first few drops

My 3rd floor bedroom window can prove to be a boon sometimes, which I normally take to be a disadvantage, it opening directly to the roadway. But sitting there, while the first rains of the year broke down relieving us of the roasting heat, I saw life coming alive. While it did not rain heavily the first day, it was more than mere drizzling. I coupled by coffee with a few 'hide n seek's and sat at the window, trying to feel the cool breeze.
